Things Other Kids Do

Two weekends ago, Larsson, Justin and I went to a fall festival at a great place almost an hour out of town (posts and photos forthcoming). We were having a great time getting lost in corn mazes and playing on hay stacks, and decided to take a quick break.

Larsson is non-stop and was not in favor of a break, but he needed a pull-up change. Fortunately, there was good stall that I could capture him in to make this happen. Unfortunately, the casualty was my phone. Which he dropped in the toilet.

I never thought my child would do that. Other kids maybe. Not to be outdone. Larsson pulled out the number one and two stops on the "Things Other Kids Do But Not Mine. Oops He Did It Anyway" List this weekend. When he pooped in the tub. And then proceeded to fling it across the bathroom.

Money, money, money

Saturday morning, Larsson popped out of bed. And the first thing he said was, "Mommy, my want to go to Target."

Target is synonomous with toys in his 2.5 year old world. And it is not completely out of the ordinary for him to tell me he wants to go to Target or be able to spot a Target.

Trying to teach him that he does not always get a toy at the store, we have different ways of responding.

On this particular day, I asked him if he had any money. He looked at me. Ran Away. And then returned with a wallet. And a toddler-sized handful of coins he found on the floor.

"My have money."
