So Sunday morning, we got up to our usual weekend routine. Larsson and I made breakfast while Justin ran to the coffee shop to pep up on lots of espresso.
Tater and I played in the living room. Then Tater grabbed his Ikea chair and pulled it behind him into the kitchen under the bar. We don't use our kitchen bar for much - except to leave things on their way to going where they belong - so we don't have stools or chairs placed there. Except now Larsson's little chair.
Then Larsson climbed into the chair. Stood up. Grabbed the bar with both hands. And began pulling himself up.
I don't know what he was after. But this looked like a disaster waiting to happen. So I intervened and picked up the little guy.
18 months, really?

Parks, Parties and Moving Vans...
This weekend went by way too fast!
We spent Saturday outside at the park where Larsson discovered this way-too-cute motorcycle.

Sunday, we hit Hippo Hopp for Oliver's birthday party. I can't believe how big Wendy and Rashid's little guys are getting! And they are too cute.. and elusive to my camera. But I did grab a few shots of Tater with my new camera :).

Then we finished up the weekend helping Auntie Rachel move into her new place. Yay for new digs! And it's closer to us... convenient for babysitting!

Bailey's Birthday Bash
The Birthday Girl Celebrates Nine Years!

Outdoor Fun: Slip 'n' slides, pinatas, and more!

Taking a Break from the Heat:

The Grill Masters: Jason, Jutz and Brandon made 3000 hot dogs... ok, maybe not that many, but A LOT!

Good Eats: hot dogs, chicken, cole slaw, chips, cupcakes... yum!

It's Friday!
This week flew by....
- Tuesday morning, we took Larsson in for surgery to get tubes in his ears at 6:30 a.m. We were a little worried, but it went well. The procedure took about 10 minutes, and Larsson woke up a little irritable. And very thirsty. We were back home just after 8:30 a.m. Larsson took a short nap and was back to new. Playing, sweeping, and having fun. Like the surgery never even happened. Thank God. We hope this provides him (and us) relief from those persistent ear infections.
- Larsson had visits with both set of grandparents this week. He loves the attention and enjoyed seeing them.
- Morfar had an audition for a commercial for a grocery store chain on Wednesday. We hope he got it. If so, the commercial will air for Thanksgiving.
- It's been hot. Too hot. For too long. I am looking forward to fall weather. Justin is looking forward to college football.
- Justin keeps asking how old Larsson should be before he can take him to his first football game. Maybe another year or two.... I can't imagine him sitting remotely still to watch a game yet.
- It's supposed to rain today. I am going to pick Larsson up a little early from school and take him to Hippo Hopp to play. Our neighbors are going to meet us. It's almost a weekly ritual now.
Have a great weekend!
