Obviously, asking a toddler to wait for anything is tough. And there are many opportunities to teach patience and timing.
This week, when I have asked Larsson to do something, he has started looking at me, holding up his first finger and saying very intentionally, "One minute, mommy, one minute."
Who is teaching who?

Anything to Declare?
We had a brief layover on our way home from Sweden. As we went through Customs/Immigration at Amsterdam Schipol Airport, we approached the agent desk.
Larsson happily said, "Hi!"
And then quickly chimed in with, "My poops!"
The agent said, "What?"
We had to share what Larsson said and the fact that he pooped his diaper once we got in line.
The agent quickly admitted us through the gate.

Welcome to Sweden
A card arrived yesterday for Larsson.
On the cover:
Liseberg, an amusement park in Gothenburg.

Inside:
A message from the bunny.

Inside:
A warm welcome for our impending trip to Sweden.

July 4th Edition
July 4th marks another year older for me.
So how did I spend the day?
With my favorite person also born on the 4th of July, Austin.
And his mama, Alice (aka my BFF) and his daddy, Ervin.

With not one but two cakes.
This flag cake baked by Alice was as good as it looks!

This cake was baked by my neighbors and decorated by Kes.
Sparklers added by Matt, which Larsson tried to blow out. Eventually it worked.

A little outdoor play and date supervision, as Larsson and his gal tried to escape.

Impromptu pool party next door!

And of course, my favorite guys!

Happy 4th!
