Mickey Waffles

Larsson enjoys Mickey-shaped waffles for breakfast at Walt Disney World in Florida.

We just got back from a magical mini-vacation. Justin had to go to Orlando for a conference for work, and the conference was at a Disney resort, The Grand Floridian. So we thought, why not join him? And bring Mormor along for a little help?

More pictures coming soon...

The Big 2-9!

His most recent quest for "adult points" earned him this mustache and old guy glasses. :)

Jonatan and long time love, Karro.

Happy Birthday, Jonatan! We are looking forward to seeing you and Karro this summer!

Larsson's Brother By Another Mother... And Father

"He doesn't DO anything. Can't he play or something?" This was our 4 year old neighbor, Hudson's initial response to Baby Larsson from 0 to 6 months.

Hudson was not interested. He had been hoping that the baby in my belly was going to be his new playmate upon arrival.

"When's he gonna walk? Can't he talk yet either?" said Hudson once Larsson started crawling.

Still not so interested.

"He's touching my things," was Hudson's concern once Larsson started walking and showing interest in toys. Particularly Hudson's outdoor toys, like his scooter and hot wheel.

"Is Larsson going to play today?" became Hudson's new question in April of this year, as we started meeting after school each day to play in the front yard.

Then last week, Hudson announced proudly, "Becka, I told my class today that Larsson is my baby brother."

Just precious.

My 2nd Mother's Day

In the Spring, the weekends seem to be packed with things to do and go by quickly. This weekend was no exception and we really enjoyed it. So how did I spend my 2nd Mother's Day weekend?

Friday:
- We grilled out with our neighbors after a long day of work. It's fun to relax outside while Larsson plays in the yard.

Saturday:
- I got up EARLY with 17,000 of my neighbors and friends to run the Susan G. Komen 5K, fundraising for breast cancer.
- Then after a long nap, my two favorite boys took me out for lunch. MMM, Verde for tacos!
- We went to the annual Dunwoody Arts Festival and browsed artist booths. I bought a piece of artwork for Larsson's room. I just love it. The artist, Charla Steele, calls is magazine collage art. Can you believe she did this with magazines?

- Then Auntie Rachel took Larsson to Newnan to spend the night with Mormor and Morfar, while Justin took me out to dinner at our favorite restaurant. And we made the most of our free night and took the opportunity to sleep. Uninterrupted sleep. In fact, I fell asleep on the couch around 11:00 p.m. Wild and crazy, I know.

Sunday:
- Well, we totally missed Tater. But he enjoyed breakfast and playing with Auntie and the grandparents.

- Justin and I went to the gym for a BodyPump class. Then we enjoyed brunch and just wasted away the afternoon, waiting for the little guy to come home.

- When Larsson arrived home, he brought big smiles and hugs and kisses. And the sweetest card with his little hand prints.

While I enjoyed having a whole day to Justin and me, I missed the little guy who calls me "Ma Ma" and I am reminded what means the most to me in the world. The gift of motherhood.
