Instilling Discipline

Larsson is approaching or is in the 'terrible twos.' Or really, he is at the age where he is learning quickly, wants what he wants, and yes, believe it or not, this sweet face can issue a challenge. In the form of a temper tantrum. Or bite. Or scratch.

So, it was time. It was time to start the time-out. Time-out at our house means a warning the first time and then standing in the naughty spot for 2 minutes. Followed by a reminder of why he was there, an apology, hugs and back to play time.

Mommy and Deddy have it down.

Larsson has it down.

So much so... that he put Mommy and Deddy in time-out the other night.

We were standing in the living room and he said, "Mout. Mout." (aka time-out)

Then he lead us by motioning and saying, "c'Mon" to the naughty corner.

He then pointed and said, "Down." And proceeded to shake his finger at us and jibber jab.

We held it together for a few minutes. But were ROLLING with laughter.

Here's to hoping for fewer time-outs in 2011. For everyone.
